Recipe for Making Raspberry Popsicles

Finding ways to cool down during a summer heat wave can be tough. Most refreshing summer treats tend to be made of unhealthy ingredients and may not be the best for your health. Instead of buying store bought products, why not learn to make your own popsicles? Great Harvest in Bozeman can help you get started with an easy to make and delicious popsicle recipe.

Ingredients for Raspberry Popsicles

4 cups of raspberries 1/4 cup of water 1/4 cup of honey You will also need a set of popsicle molds or small cups and popsicle sticks.

Directions to Make Popsicles

Pour your raspberries, water and honey into a food processor or blender and work the ingredients together until they are smooth or at the consistency you prefer. Pour your blended mixture into your molds or cups and place them in the freezer. It is recommended that they freeze for at least five hours, but the time may vary depending on your freezer. When your popsicles are ready, they may be a bit stuck in the mold. Run some warm water under the molds to help loosen the popsicles. Enjoy!

Experiment with the Ingredients

Popsicles are generally very easy to make and have a lot of room for experimentation. You can hold onto some of the raspberries and add them in as you pour the mixture into your molds in order to add some larger fruit chunks to your popsicles. You can also add in other berries and juices to create more varied flavors. If you enjoy cooking with fruit, make sure to check out a simple recipe for making fruit jam.
